321 Family Dental

We are proud to bring innovative and advanced technology to our patients in Melbourne, FL. Dr. Joel and Dr. Mark understand that using the latest equipment that modern dentistry has to offer allows us to be as accurate as possible with the diagnosis and improves our patient's experience at our Melbourne dental office.

Take a look at some of the technology you can expect to find when you visit us.

Intraoral Camera

Our intraoral camera gives you a birds-eye-view into precisely what your dentist sees in your mouth. With this tiny pen-sized camera, we can take full-color pictures of your teeth and mouth, which helps you have a better understanding of your treatment needs.

When you can see tooth decay or other conditions, it helps you make better decisions about what type of treatment is best for your dental health.

CEREC Crowns

CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. This advanced technology makes it possible for our dentists to complete a restoration, like a tooth crown or dental bridge, in about two hours instead of four weeks.

CEREC uses 3-D imaging to scan a picture of your tooth that our dentists can use to design your crown. That image is then transferred directly to a milling machine, which uses high-quality porcelain to fabricate your restoration here in our Melbourne dental office.

With quick and efficient crowns from CEREC, you will leave our dental office the same day you came in with a fully functioning and aesthetically pleasing new restoration.

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays are efficient, safe, and provide our dentists with clearer images than ever before. They also benefit our patients since they emit 80 percent less radiation than traditional film x-rays, and they're ready for immediate reviewing that provides a quicker diagnosis.

At 321 Family Dental, we're always looking for ways to reduce our footprint in the world. Using digital images also protects our environment from the disposal of harmful chemicals required to develop the film.

Laser Dentistry

Dental lasers have been making dental procedures more comfortable and efficient for over 50 years. Combining light and heat into a pinpoint, the dental laser makes fast, comfortable work of removing diseased tissue to help you heal from gum disease. It also sterilizes the treated area for reduced healing time.

Our dentists may also use the laser for cosmetic gum reshaping or healing small lesions. Our patients appreciate the increased efficiency during procedures and accelerated healing time they experience with the dental laser.

Nitrous Oxide

If you've ever felt fearful or anxious about visiting the dentist, nitrous oxide may be a good solution for you. We deliver nitrous through a mask worn during your dental procedure, and it works quickly to help you feel comfortable and relaxed.

Nitrous is safe for both adults and children to use, and it exits your body immediately after we remove your mask, making it safe for you to drive home after your dental procedure.
